What does this adapter do?

The Soundgate CRPD4 uses the RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment), or the Satellite Radio Connector in your Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep CAN-BUS radio to allow you to connect your iPod Mini, G4, G5, Nano, Classic, or Touch, to your compatible factory installed audio system. With the Soundgate CRPD4, you can control many iPod functions from your factory radio, steering wheel controls or the iPod's own clickwheel. Your iPod's battery WILL charge while connected.
