What does this adapter do?
The PIE FRDN-POD/S allows you to control, listen to, and charge your iPod with your compatible factory radio (with Satellite Radio Controls) through a direct connection! The iPod will take the place of your Ford Sirius Satelite Radio. See the features list here:
- Search by Artist, Album, Playlist, Song, Composer, etc
- Ability to see the following text fields on the factory radio's display:
- Artist Name (12 Characters)
- Song Title (16 Characters, shown 8 at a time when song is selected)
- Song Title (12 Characters, shown when searching songs)
- Album Title (12 Characters)
- Playlist Name (12 Characters)
- Use the OEM Radio OR the iPod's own controls
- DIRECT audio connection through the iPod Dock Connector for optimal audio quality
- Charges iPod while in use

Your Satellite Radio, if present, will need ot be disconnected in order to use the PIE FRDN-POD/S
Where is the installation done?
The PIE FRD03-POD/S connects to the 16 and 20 pin connector(s) at the rear of the factory radio.
