What does this adapter do?

The Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 allows you to hear the audio from your portable audio source in your compatible factory installed audio system. Your radio's display will read AUX, or CD Changer, or similar.

1999-2008 Golf, GTI (works in all 1999-2001 Golfs, but 2002 and up has to be single DIN cassette radios only)

1999-2008 Jetta (works in all 1999-2001 Jettas, but 2002 and up has to be single DIN cassette radios only)

1999-2008 Passat (works in all 1999-2001 Passats, but 2002 and up has to be single DIN cassette radios only)

The Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 works listed vehicles which have the single DIN sized radios with the round SCAN button.

Where is the installation done?

The Blitzsafe VW/AUX DMX V.3 connects to the 8 pin connector at the rear of the factory radio.
